These corals, known as “Ricordea”, captivate with their vibrant hues of blue, green, orange, red, and more. A favorite among hobbyists, their oblong bodies are adorned with tiny, bulbous tentacles that span 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Notably, Ricordea possess a mouth, and some even have multiple mouths. They are beginner-friendly, requiring minimal maintenance. In captivity, they reproduce swiftly, expanding across rockwork towards light, which they rely on for growth. When introducing them to your aquarium, ensure moderate or low lighting and water flow. A diet of zooplankton and phytoplankton is ideal. However, be cautious of their aggressive nature towards other corals. Their striking colors and other attributes make them a prized addition to any saltwater aquarium.
